Join us for an informational session on Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) and learn how students can earn college credit for knowledge and skills gained through work experience, military training, industry certifications, apprenticeships, and other learning experiences. This session will provide an overview of PLA opportunities, eligibility requirements, available assessment methods, the process for requesting credit, and the resources available to support both students and staff. Participants will also learn how PLA contributes to student persistence, degree completion, and workforce pathway advancement.
Each session is 90 minutes in length and will be recorded. However, your attendance and active participation are highly encouraged, as these sessions are designed to be interactive and to provide opportunities for discussion, questions, and shared learning in preparation for the launch of a large-scale PLA outreach campaign.
We will schedule additional sessions in August and September to align with faculty returning for the new academic term, allowing for greater participation and engagement at that time.
